V & M STAR is North America's leading producer of seamless tubular products mainly dedicated to oil and gas applications. Thanks to the commitment of its 700-strong workforce, the company is a $1B highly efficient low cost manufacturer of seamless steel stubs. V & M Star is the largest of Vallourec's US subsidiaries.

Steel and pipe making operations are based in Youngstown, OH. The facility boasts the latest technology in electric arc furnace steelmaking and retained mandrel mill pipe production.

A second facility is in Houston, Texas with quench and temper capacity along with hot sizing, straightening, hydrotesting, third party inspection and pipe end finishing. The heat treat facility is a state of the art design with precise temperature control and water quenching. This allows V&M STAR to produce almost all the high yield OCTG, cou-pling stock and line pipe grades required for today's critical environments.

A third facility is located in the port of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and has heat treating and processing operations similar to those in Houston but with a different target market. The TCA facility was acquired in 2008 as a part of Vallourec's acquisition of certain Grant Prideco businesses and employs about 185 people. V&M TCA is a leader in ultra premium sour service products and specializes in orders requiring quick turn around.

V&M STAR produces hot rolled seamless steel tubes in a size range from 5" to 10 3/4", in heat treated or non heat treated condition. They maintain a strong market share and a high level of customer satisfaction through their commitment to quality, service, flexi-bility and disciplined rolling cycles.
