NaphCare, Inc. is a leading provider of health care services for correctional facilities across the United States. In January of 1989, Jim McLane founded Correctional Pharmacy Services, Inc. (the company now known as NaphCare) to provide pharmaceutical services to correctional facilities. In 1995, NaphCare, Inc. entered the correctional dialysis market after being awarded the on-site dialysis contract by the State of Alabama Department of Corrections. In 1998, NaphCare, Inc. was awarded its first multi-year contract to provide comprehensive medical services in the correctional arena.
Based in Birmingham, Alabama, NaphCare, Inc. has two decades of experience managing a full range of healthcare programs for inmates. We currently serve over 40 clients in 23 states, employing approximately 800 dedicated healthcare professionals. NaphCare, Inc. is organized for the sole purpose of providing healthcare services specifically to correctional institutions. Our clients include 19 Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) facilities, 12 Department of Corrections facilities, and 10 County Jails.
