HISTORY

Beauty Systems Group (BSG) is a network of stores and professional sales consultants, selling exclusive professional salon brands to licensed cosmetologists, estheticians, and salon and spa owners. The structure of the organization combines the strength and expertise of its large size with the flexibility of its independently managed divisions.

BSG began with 39 Victory stores in the Midwest, headquartered in Chicago. In 1996, Barnum Beauty Supply, an Ohio-based, full-service distributor, was added to form Beauty Systems Group. Since then, a steady stream of acquisitions has made Beauty Systems Group the largest full-service beauty supplier in the world.

Customers know Beauty Systems Group under the local names of the companies it acquired. BSG has three geographic headquarters – BSG Canada in Mississauga, Ontario, BSG East in Macedonia, Ohio and BSG West in Benicia, California. An affiliate division, Armstrong-McCall, is located in San Antonio, Texas and is comprised of franchised stores and a direct sales force. BSG (including Armstrong-McCall) has over 800 stores and 1,000 Full Service Distributor Sales Consultants and 15 distribution centers.

In the U.S., the Company includes Ace Beauty Systems, Armstrong McCall, Artisitc, Barnum Beauty Systems, Beaute Craft, CosmoProf, Davidson Beauty Systems, Loeffler Beauty Systems, Heil Beauty Systems, Innovations, Macon Beauty Systems, Neka Beauty Systems, Pacific Salon Systems, Professional Products of Connecticut, The Salon Resource, United Beauty Systems, Victory Beauty Systems and West Coast Beauty Systems. In Canada, the group includes, Beauticians Beauty Systems, Gould Beauty Systems, Jaguar Beauty Systems, Monarch Beauty Systems and Obsco Beauty Systems.
