VIKRAM K. CHAND, M.D., JOINS BLUE RIDGE CANCER CARE AS A MEDICAL ONCOLOGIST

Roanoke, Va – The Roanoke Valley has a new ally in the fight against cancer. Dr. Vikram K. Chand has joined Blue Ridge Cancer Care and will be providing care to Roanoke and Alleghany cancer patients. Dr. Chand joins BRCC from Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin where he was practicing medical oncology in addition to teaching medical students and residents. He was also the Senior Investigator for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group clinical trials.

Dr. Chand received his doctorate from Maulana Azad Medical College at the University of Delhi and completed his fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He has published research papers and articles that have been featured in The Chemotherapy Sourcebook and Contemporary Oncology among others.

Dr. Chand is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and is a member of American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Chand is seeing patients at the Roanoke and Alleghany offices of Blue Ridge Cancer Care.
