The inspiration for BrightStar Healthcare came from our own family experience. When our late Grandma was suffering from cancer, we were surprised by how difficult it was to find quality homecare professionals to help care for her. We made calls, left messages, and did a lot of waiting. It took a long time before we finally found people we could trust. We are forever grateful for the help our caregivers provided during our time of need.

The creation of BrightStar Healthcare stems from our journey with our Grandma. We made a promise to our Grandma that we would create a great company that would provide families and their loved ones the highest level of accessible in home senior care, dignity, and personal attention they need and deserve.

BrightStar's services enable people to live their best. We offer a wide range of support from minimal to comprehensive. We work with clients wherever needed, providing as little or as much home care as needed. And we are always available to clients around the clock. Our trained, bonded and insured caregivers are available from a few hours to around the clock.

We can provide companion care services that are designed to take over or assist in the activities that people need to be able to stay at home safely and with dignity. These services may include fall prevention, medication and fluids reminders, light housekeeping, grooming or bathing assistance, and running errands.

After 25 years in healthcare in various executive roles, I reached a turning point in my life. My next role had to allow me to give back to the community and make a difference. After an intensive search, I chose to become a member of the BrightStar family. My parents are both in their 80’s and live pretty far away. I know firsthand about the anxiety that you can feel when they need help. Also, having been in healthcare, I am well aware of the needs of people, like my parents, and the demands that are being placed on their families. The aging population and the growing nursing shortage together are creating a need that we have never seen before for high quality and compassionate care delivered in the home. Today I have an opportunity to help other families and businesses in the Houston area. I am proud to be able to provide high quality and compassionate staffing services to those in need.
